Abstract:

Prosthetic breast implant surgery is one of important human breast reconstructions. Because of its complexity and foreign body implants, breast implant infection after surgical reconstruction is the most common postoperative complication and an important cause of failure of postoperative breast reconstruction, seriously affecting the therapeutic effects and prognosis. Here we review the latest research on breast implant infection after surgical reconstruction with regard to its pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, therapeutic and preventive measures, with an aim to provide guidance on the prevention and treatment of this condition.
