Abstract:

Objective

To discuss the application of 5G-satellite fusion communication technology in pre-hospital treatment of wounded people in the Luxian earthquake in 2021.

Methods

We retrospectively analyzed the process of treatment of the wounded people in the Luxian earthquake, and summarized the application effect and characteristics of the emergency medical rescue mode supported by 5G-satellite fusion communication in the treatment of wounded people at the disaster site.

Results

Emergency video communication was established by 5G and satellite links, connecting the disaster site headquarter with the rear expert team of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, and an operation was completed for a 69-year-old patient with femoral neck fracture. Under the guidance of the fusion communication system, the emergency medical rescue order was quickly established. More than 80 wounded people were treated through remote consultation, of whom 38 were moderately injured and 11 were seriously injured. Ten operations were completed, and there were no casualties.

Conclusion

The emergency medical rescue model based on 5G-satellite fusion communication is the improvement of 5G emergency medical rescue system in 2019 Changning earthquake. It is the first practical experience of 5G-satellite fusion communication for disaster rescue in China. The high-quality medical resources of rear hospitals could be used for prehospital treatment, which provide reference for the information construction of prehospital first aid worldwide.
