Effect of Ankun Zhongzi pills combined with Femoston on luteinizing hormone and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate in patients with decreased ovarian reserve function

Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the effects of Ankun Zhongzi pills combined with Femoston on luteinizing hormone and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEA-S) in patients with decreased ovarian reserve.

Methods

A total of 100 patients with decreased ovarian reserve function were enrolled at Qionghai City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Gynecology from May 2019 to May 2021. They were randomly divided into either a control group or a study group by rolling dice, with 50 patients in each group. The two groups were first given oral vitamin E and conventional treatment (eating more soy food). Patients in the control group received oral treatment of Femoston after routine treatment, and patients in the study group received oral treatment of Ankun Zhongzi pills+Femoston after routine treatment. After treatment, the levels of luteinizing hormone (LH), DHEA-S, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), estradiol (E2), and anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) were determined, and electrochemiluminescence detection of sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) was performed. The rate of adverse reactions and the effective rate were statistically analyzed in the two groups.

Results

After treatment, the levels of DHEA-S, LH, and FSH in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, while the level of E2 was significantly higher than that before treatment (P<0.05). The levels of DHEA-S, LH, and FSH in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group, while the level of E2 was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, SHBG and AMH in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment (P<0.05); SHBG and AMH in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

Ankun Zhongzhi pills combined with Femoston can effectively improve the levels of LH, DHEA-S, and estrogen in patients with decreased ovarian reserve, and the ovarian reserve can recover better.
