Abstract:

Liver metastasis is one of the main reasons for treatment failure in patients with colorectal cancer, and factors affecting liver metastasis have become a research focus of colorectal cancer. The underlying liver diseases not only affect the function of the liver, but also have a close correlation with liver metastasis of colorectal cancer. This paper reviews the progress in the understanding of the relationship between underlying liver diseases, such as cirrhosis, viral hepatitis B, and non-alcoholic fatty liver, and liver metastasis of colorectal cancer and explores the possible mechanisms involved, laying a theoretical foundation for future research.

Key words: Cirrhosis, Viral hepatitis B, Nonalcoholic fatty liver, Colorectal cancer, Hepatic metastases
