Strategies for management of colorectal cancer patients during COVID-19 epidemic

Abstract:

In the process of fighting against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), effective epidemic management and control strategies are essential to ensure the diagnosis and treatment needs of cancer patients, a special population. Based on the relevant requirements of National Health Commission for COVID-19, the Second Department of Surgery of the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University has formulated a series of management and prevention and control strategies with regard to patient consultation, hospitalization, operation, postoperative management, discharge, and follow-up. This can ensure the orderly treatment of colorectal cancer patients and effectively control nosocomial infection during the epidemic, providing an empirical reference for colorectal surgery during the epidemic.
