Abstract:

Compared with sporadic gastric cancer, familial gastric cancer has poor tumor differentiation, early onset, and poor prognosis. Therefore, the early genetic testing is of important value and clinical significance for the diagnosis and prevention of the disease. With the development of molecular biology and genetics, there has been a better understanding of the diagnostic criteria, genetic basis, and molecular mechanism of familial gastric cancer. This paper summarizes the latest knowledge on the genetic aspects of familial gastric cancer and discusses its prevention and treatment.

Key words: Familial gastric cancer, E-cadherin, Germline alterations
