Recommendations for community health management of diabetic patients during COVID-2019 epidemic

Abstract

Abstract:

Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak was confirmed in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The national health commission has issued a public announcement that COVID-19 was included in Class B infectious diseases stipulated in the "Law on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases of the People′s Republic of China" since January 20, 2020. The Chinese government has taken severe measures to prevent and control COVID-19 as a class A infectious disease. New requirements for community health management of diabetics have been put forward. In this paper, we put forward suggestions on the health management of diabetes patients in the community in order to control the COVID-19 epidemic situation, improve the doctor-patient relationship, and strengthen the health management of diabetes patients in the community. At the same time, we update the recommendations based on the changes of the epidemic situation and the further understanding of the disease.
